The fault of Lanjarón, forming the border between the unique landscapes of the Sierra Nevada and the Alpujarras explains the profusion of streams around the village. The different rocks of this area allow the rainwater fallen years ago in Sierra Nevada to be filtered back the surface for our benefits. Some of these waters were in contact during years with minerals that is why they are so valuable because the very high concentration of minerals they have. Others springs come from the fusion of the perpetual snows and rains and hence exceptionally pure water with less minerals.
